Oticon More™ - award-winning hearing aid
“CES® is the most influential tech event in the world – the proving ground for breakthrough technologies.”
Consumer Trade Association
The Oticon More™ features breakthrough technology. That’s why at CES® 2021, the most prestigious tech trade show in the world, Oticon More™ was named an honouree in not one, but two highly competitive categories: Health & Wellness and Wearable Technologies.
Hearing aids have come a long way. Ear trumpets, vacuum tubes and transistor technology are long gone. Digital audio technology, only about 30 years old, has made modern hearing aids unrecognisable compared to their predecessors. The evolution has transformed previously cumbersome and table-top technology into hidden hearing aids that are almost invisible, yet with far greater processing power.
This is Oticon’s fifth consecutive success at CES®. They show no signs of slowing down in their effort to change the lives of people with hearing loss.
New hearing aid technology
“With Oticon More we have completely reinvented the way a hearing aid works,”
Thomas Behrens, Chief Audiologist, Oticon.
Oticon More™ is the world’s first hearing aid that uses a Deep Neural Network (DNN). This means that it hears sound the same way as your brain. The fact that it’s your brain – not your ears – that is responsible for hearing is a small but fundamental distinction.
Your ears only collect sound. It’s your brain that does the work to understand it. This is why hearing loss takes such a huge toll. Your brain has to work so much harder to fill in missing gaps as it struggles to take in the sounds around you, particularly in noisy environments. So you end up with less mental capacity for other parts of your life.
This can lead to cognitive decline and a higher risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s. The struggle to hear can lead to isolation and depression.
“You can be cut off from other conversations around you. By helping the brain to process sound in the most natural way, we will help reduce problems associated with untreated hearing loss.”
Ole Asboe Jørgensen, Oticon President
The on-board DNN learns just like we do: through experience. It has been trained by listening to 12 million real-life sounds, enough to cover most of what you’ll experience on a day-to-day basis.
It has been designed to decipher the details. It delivers 30%* more sound to the brain, and can increase speech understanding by 15%*. These are the kind of gains that could make a huge difference to your life.
"It is essential to give your brain as much sound information as possible in order to hear properly.”
Ole Asboe Jørgensen
Previous hearing aids have been advanced, there is no denying that. The Opn S achieved a breakthrough in the way it helped eliminate feedback.
They have the technological power to recognise speech and mute other sounds. But the Oticon More doesn’t work like this. It has learnt to recognise what other sounds are relevant, not just speech.
So it supports your brain in the most natural way.
And for this reason, it is revolutionary.
Where can I get an Oticon More™?

Ole Asboe Jørgensen
