Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

Special offer – book a hearing test with us and we will donate £5 to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People

August 2011 see's the end of our campaign supporting Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, where we again donated £5 to the charity on behalf of everyone who had a free hearing test with us.

We have worked with Hearing Dogs over the past three years. As a result we have gained two new members to the Hidden Hearing Family that we hold close to our hearts called Quaver and Acorn. At the start of our relationship with Hearing Dogs we raised enough funds to support Quaver, a black Labrador throughout his working life as a hearing dog who is now placed with his owner Jane in Milton Keynes. Our campaign this year which has just finished saw us again raise funds to support Acorn, a working Cocker Spaniel puppy, who is undergoing training to become a hearing dog. A fully trained hearing dog plays a vital role in alerting its owner to special sounds such as alarms and bells, whether at home, work or in public buildings. Keep up to date with Acorns progress here.
