What do you feel when there are noise sounds ceaselessly heard like ringing or buzzing in your ears? In the medical terminology, those sounds are commonly known as tinnitus. Many experts said that tinnitus affected nearly 36 million of the U.S. population.
Seven million people were bothered by tinnitus. Tinnitus is not only annoying, but can also affect your daily activities. Similar to a toothache, tinnitus is not a disease but a kind of symptom.
Tinnitus itself is classified into two kinds, objective and subjective. It is called objective when the ringing sound is heard by yourself and other people. It is generally believed to have originated from a source of acoustic sound or vibration that can be identified. whereas subjective is only heard by you. This is attributed to the existence of abnormalities in the peripheral auditory neural or central pathways.
Many factors that may be a cause of tinnitus are wax that blocks the ear canals, food allergies, reaction to many drugs, abnormalities of auditory nerve, diabetes and brain tumors. Sometimes, tinnitus can also be caused by the increasing of age commonly followed by hearing loss. Temporary tinnitus usually attacks, but it does not cause deafness.

So, what can we do to reduce tinnitus? There are many ways recommended by experts and physicians, such as:
* Ask your doctor about the latest tinnitus masker, it has a shape similar to a hearing aid, which is put in the ear. It will produce smooth sound that blocks tinnitus without disturbing your activity.
* Biofeedback techniques or relaxation can help you to calm down, which gradually distracts you from tinnitus.
* Exercise regularly to improve your blood circulation.
