As Britain continues to combat the troubles in Afghanistan and Iraq and look to remember personnel from wars in our history, we launched an initiative to support The Royal British Legion.

Many of those who fought either in WW2 or in more recent conflicts such as Afghanistan experience difficulties with their hearing and for some help isn’t easy to find.  This imitative was first launched in 2009, and due to great success was repeated in 2010.  From 1st September and until November 14th 2010, Hidden Hearing donated £5 to The Royal British Legion for each hearing assessment carried out at any of our specialist hearing centres nationwide.

Over £2500 was raised for this worthwhile cause and seen in the picture to the right is Sue Smart, Head of Regional Fundraising for the RBL collecting a cheque for the monies raised at our annual conference earlier this year.

Teresa Greener form The Royal British Legion commented ‘The Royal British Legion were delighted with the support received from Hidden Hearing last year, and particularly pleased that they want to continue and expand their support in 2010.  Without the support of concerned and responsible organisations such as Hidden Hearing, the Legion could not continue its vital work supporting those who are serving and have served in the British Armed Forces.’
